Calibration of non‐catching precipitation measurement instruments: A review

چکیده
Non-catching type gauges are the emerging class of in situ precipitation measurement instruments. For these instruments, rigorous testing and calibration more challenging than for traditional gauges. Hydrometeors characteristics like particle size, shape, fall velocity density must be reproduced a controlled environment to provide reference precipitation, instead equivalent water flow used catching-type They generally calibrated by manufacturers using internal procedures developed specific technology employed. No agreed methodology exists, adopted rarely traceable internationally recognized standards. The EURAMET project 18NRM03 ‘INCIPIT’ on ‘Calibration accuracy non-catching instruments measure liquid/solid atmospheric precipitation’, funded European Metrology Programme Innovation Research (EMPIR), was initiated 2019 investigate issues measuring measurement. A survey existing models initially performed this paper provides an overview description their working principles procedures. Both literature works technical manuals disclosed summarized discussed, while current limitations metrological requirements identified.

Calibration of Instruments
It is presumed that most instruments exhibit linearity in the range of their operation. An instrument is said to be linear if the input physical quantity and the resulting output reading of the instrument have a linear relationship. The output of the instrument could be linear deflection, angular deflection or voltage etc. This output has to be displayed in terms of the physical quantity which ...
متن کاملP02.40. A systematic review of measurement properties of mindfulness instruments
Purpose A growing body of evidence shows that mindfulness-based interventions reduce symptoms and improve healthrelated quality of life. Several instruments have been developed to measure mindfulness. To make a reasonable choice among these instruments, it is important to know the quality of each instrument. The objectives of this study were to critically assess and compare the measurement prop...
متن کاملCorrosion of Ni-Ti Rotary Instruments: A Review
The nickel-titanium (Ni-Ti) alloys used in endodontics contain 56% Ni and 44% Ti. The 2 unique features related to clinical dentistry (i.e., shape memory effect and superelasticity) are due to the transition from austenite to martensite in Ni-Ti alloy. When a superelastic Ni-Ti alloy undergoes a low tensile loading, normal elastic behavior occurs. In fact, at higher tensile loads, the elastic s...
متن کاملSatisfaction measurement instruments for healthcare service users: a systematic review.
Patient satisfaction surveys can be an interesting way to improve quality and discuss the concept of patient-centered care. This study aimed to conduct a systematic review of the validated patient satisfaction measurement instruments applied in healthcare. The systematic review searched the MEDLINE/PubMed, LILACS, SciELO, Scopus and Web of Knowledge. The search strategy used the terms: "Patient...
متن کاملMeasurement properties of adult quality-of-life measurement instruments for eczema: protocol for a systematic review
BACKGROUND Eczema is a common chronic or chronically relapsing skin disease that has a substantial impact on quality of life (QoL). By means of a consensus-based process, the Harmonising Outcome Measures in Eczema (HOME) initiative has identified QoL as one of the four core outcome domains to be assessed in all eczema trials (Allergy 67(9):1111-7, 2012). Various measurement instruments exist to...
